Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TribeStay ("TribeStay", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using TribeStay, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator of TribeStay is established.

TribeStay is a search and discovery tool for long-term accommodation, currently focused on Bali. We aggregate rental posts made publicly in Facebook groups, use AI to extract structured details (price, location, amenities, photos, and similar), and make them searchable and filterable. You can create wishlists, attach notes to listings, and share wishlists with others.

TribeStay is not a booking platform, broker, or rental agency. We surface listings and point you back to the original post and the landlord's contact details so you can deal with them directly.

To use most features you must create an account through our authentication provider. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use TribeStay.

All listings on TribeStay are derived from content created by third parties — people posting in public Facebook groups. We do not create, verify, endorse, or control these listings. In particular:

• We make no guarantee of accuracy. Prices, photos, amenities, and locations are extracted automatically and may contain errors or be out of date.
• We make no guarantee of availability. A listing may be rented, withdrawn, or changed at any time without our knowledge.
• We do not vet landlords or properties. Always verify details, view the property where possible, and exercise caution before sending money to anyone.

If you are the owner or original poster of a listing and want it removed or corrected, email brentis@promptlydata.com and we will process legitimate requests promptly.

Any rental agreement, payment, deposit, or other arrangement you enter into with a landlord or property manager is strictly between you and them. We are not a party to any rental transaction, we do not process rental payments, and we are not responsible for the conduct of landlords, tenants, or any other users of the underlying Facebook groups.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download listings or other content from TribeStay, or use automated tools to access the service except through interfaces we provide.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or its data without our written consent.
• Attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Impersonate any person, misrepresent your affiliation, or post misleading content in notes or wishlists.
• Use the service to harass, spam, or harm other people, including the original posters of listings.

You retain ownership of the content you create on TribeStay (such as notes and wishlists). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and share that content as needed to operate the service — for example, showing a shared wishlist to the people you invite. You are responsible for the content you create and must have the rights to anything you submit.

The TribeStay service — including its software, design, branding, and the structured database we have compiled — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. Original listing text and images belong to their respective authors; trademarks such as Facebook and Instagram belong to their respective owners, and TribeStay is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta Platforms.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that listing information is accurate, complete, or current.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TribeStay and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service — including any dealings with landlords or reliance on listing information. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars (USD 50). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You may stop using TribeStay or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end; sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property) will survive.

TribeStay is an evolving product and we may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above; for material changes we will provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
